This grey yarn bowl is one of my earliest designs — simple, unadorned, and built for use. The outside is left unglazed, the inside finished with a clear glaze so the surface is smooth and easy to clean.
I threw it on the wheel from stoneware, aiming for a shape that sits stable and holds a standard yarn ball comfortably. The slot is hand-carved and smoothed so the yarn pulls through without catching.
Dimensions and care:
- Dimensions: approximately 14–15 cm diameter, 8–9 cm tall
- Material: stoneware
- Finish: unglazed exterior, clear glaze inside
- Care: hand wash recommended
Each bowl is hand-thrown and carved in my studio. The exact shape and texture will vary slightly from piece to piece.
