I keep coming back to this glaze. It's the same white, dark-speckled glaze I use on my bowls and mugs, and now on this sugar bowl too.

I shaped it on the wheel from stoneware, then dipped it in a white glaze with scattered dark speckles, so the surface has that soft, organic texture I love.

Around the body there's also a darker wash that settles into a band, a little deeper wherever the glaze pooled while it was drying.

The lid has a small knob handle. I shaped it so it sits well in your fingers and doesn't slip out of your hand when you lift it.

Dimensions and care:

  • Dimensions: approximately 10 cm wide, 9 cm tall with lid, around 220 ml capacity (can vary slightly piece to piece)
  • Material: stoneware
  • Finish: white glaze with dark speckles and a darker drip band, glossy, food safe and non-toxic
  • Care: dishwasher safe, hand washing keeps the glaze looking its best over time
