This piece started out as something different.
I was throwing it on the wheel as a small salt pot, but the clay dried out more than I wanted, and I couldn't shape the angled base a salt pot needs.
So I made a lid for it instead, and it became this sugar bowl.
It's glazed in a soft turquoise, with a textured, hand-stamped lid and a small knob handle to lift it by.
Dimensions and care:
- Dimensions: approx. 9 cm diameter, 10 cm tall with lid, around 200 ml capacity
- Material: stoneware
- Finish: turquoise glaze with speckled, rustic edges, textured stamped lid, food safe and non-toxic
- Care: dishwasher safe, hand washing keeps the glaze and texture looking their best over time
Suitable for:
- Sugar at the table: a lidded bowl that keeps sugar dry and dust free.
- Small kitchen storage: spices, tea bags, or other small everyday items.
- Gifting: a one-of-a-kind handmade piece with its own little story.
Every piece is shaped and glazed by hand, so no two are exactly alike.
What you see in the photos is what's currently available in my studio.
