French Butter Dish - Dark Blue Glossy Glaze

I love butter that's soft enough to spread straight from the dish, so I made this French butter dish for exactly that.

This one is glazed in a deep, dark blue from top to bottom, with a smooth, glossy finish on the lid and inside the base. Only the underside of the base is left in raw clay, which is typical for stoneware and doesn't affect how it works.

Dimensions and care:

• Dimensions: approx. 12 cm diameter, 8 cm tall, holds about 200g of butter, one packet
• Material: stoneware
• Finish: deep dark blue glossy glaze, lid glazed inside and out, food safe and non-toxic
• Care: dishwasher safe, hand washing keeps the glaze looking its best over time

Suitable for:

• Soft, spreadable butter: fill the base with cold water to create a seal, press your butter into the lid, and turn it upside down into the water. The seal keeps air out, so your butter stays fresh and spreadable for days without the fridge.
• Everyday breakfast table: a practical piece that brings a bit of French charm to your morning routine.
• Gifting: a handmade dish with its own character, a nice find for anyone who loves to cook or bake.

Every piece is shaped and glazed by hand, so no two are exactly alike.
